Day 128 - Bubbles Against Blue Taken with the Nikon D90 and the Lensbaby Composer with the 10x and 4x macro lens.

Coming up with ideas day after day can difficult. Today I started with some small bubbles suspended in a bottle of hand sanitizer. Setting it against a computer screen and shooting through the bottle gave me the beautiful blue effect.

Day 127 - Diamond On The Souls Of Her Shoes Taken with the Nikon D90 and the Lensbaby Composer. Edited in Color Efex Pro.

I leave for work before the kids get out of bed in the morning. So It’s sometimes surprising when I see them after work and see what they wore all day. I thought Samantha looked particularly great today with this combination of glitzy shoes and stripped socks.

Day 126 - A Peek Inside My Day Taken with the iPhone.

As part of my job as the creative director for a medical company, I sometimes need to get photos of our products. Some of these photos I feel comfortable taking myself. Other photos (like the one you see being setup here) I like to leave to a seasoned professional. My friend and a fabulous photographer Brian Twede is the photographer I turn to when my own skills are lacking. He does amazing work.

It’s fun to put a photo shoot together…hiring a model…picking cloths…critiquing hair…there are so many details. It’s one of the things I enjoy the most about my job. Too bad I don’t get to spend more time doing it.

Day 122 - Curiously Strong Taken with the Nikon D90 and the 50mm 1:1.8. Edited in Lightroom and Color Efex Pro.

I decided to rummage around in the desk drawer for ideas again today. I found this tin of Altoids. Good stuff.

Day 121 - Mirror Mirror Taken with the Nikon D90 and the 50mm 1:1.8.

Rummaging around in one of my drawers at work while trying to come up with an idea for today’s photo, I came across a mirror. It’s a rear view, things are closer than they appear sort of mirror. I works well when you want to keep an eye on who’s coming up behind you, if you happen to work in a cubical. Fortunatly I don’t work in a cubical…I have what I like to call an offical…a little bit bigger than a cubical, but not quite an office.

Day 120 - Tickling the Ivories Taken with the Nikon D90 and the 50mm 1:1.8, using the SB-900 flash bounced off the ceiling. Edited in Lightroom and Color Efex Pro.

Day 119 - First Signs of Spring Taken with the Nikon D90 and Lensebaby (+4 Macro). Edited in Lightroom.
