D043 - Here Comes The Sun Taken with iPhone Camera. Edited with CinemaFX and Photogene.

The sun was just coming over the mountains as I drove into work this morning. I pass a small (perhaps man-made) lake and decided right then and there that even if it meant that I would be 10 minutes late to work, I was going to go take photos by that body of water. It was worth it. I’m glad I did. I didn’t take many. And of course they are just iPhone pictures, but the warmth really surprised me. The photo here, I darkened a little in post because I just liked it better that way.

Fellow 365-er Challenge: I would like to make a challenge to other 365-ers who might be reading this. U.S. followers know that tomorrow is Thanksgiving, which for me officially begins the holiday season. This realization started me thinking about traditions. We all have them: social traditions, family traditions, etc. I would like to challenge my fellow 365-er to document these traditions in their photographs. You can be sure you will see a lot of Thanksgiving photos tomorrow, but what other ones do we have that maybe we don’t even think about. (For some reason the soundtrack from Fiddler on the Roof is playing in my head) Example…Black Friday…the day after Thanksgiving. It’s the business U.S. shopping day of the year. I didn’t say it had to be a good tradition. :) So over the next month or so I challenge you to share you traditions with all of us.
